Alexander McMillan: Police seek info and dash cam footage to find missing Kilsyth man

Kilsyth Police are continuing their efforts to locate a man who disappeared two weeks ago.

Officers spoke to residents in a bid to locate Alexander McMillan, 46, who was last seen on CCTV at around midnight Monday April 25 to Tuesday April 26, on Manse Road, near Howe Road, Kilsyth.

A total of seven pedestrians and 11 drivers were arrested by officers in the city between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 1:30 a.m. Tuesday this week.

When Mr McMillan went missing he was wearing a navy hoodie, baseball cap, gray slacks or sweatpants and dark colored Adidas Gazelle trainers.

He was carrying two backpacks – one white and gray with a Timberland logo and the other with blue, white and gray stripes. He also carried a fishing rod in a carrying case.

In addition to speaking to those who may have seen him in the area when he was last seen, officers are also appealing to anyone who may have dash cam footage. of the region at that time for it to manifest itself.

Cumbernauld Police Station Inspector Susan Rae said: ‘Alexander’s family are extremely concerned for him. They want to make sure he is safe and healthy and urge him to get in touch if he sees this call.

“It’s now been two weeks since Alexander was last seen and it’s not like him not to be in contact with his friends or family during this time.

“Extensive searches and investigations are continuing in the Kilsyth area and I would like to thank the public for their support and assistance in our investigations.

“Anyone who believes they have seen Alexander or has dashcam footage of the area around Manse Road from when he was last seen is urged to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1579 of 27 April 2022.”
