Crawley Pride will be back for another fun event, with a two-day summer celebration on the way. Last year, Crawley’s first-ever Pride event was held in the city to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
The event, organized by Crawley LGBTQU+, was held at Goffs Park and featured an array of exciting acts. More than 1,500 people are believed to have attended, and similar crowds are expected again this year.
Many numbers have already been booked for this year’s Pride, which will take place on Saturday August 20 and Sunday August 21, also at Goffs Park. Tickets are on sale with VIP options also up for grabs.

In a first for the town, this year’s Pride will also include a parade through the streets of Crawley. This will take place on the Saturday of the event, with willing participants invited to come forward.
Saturday is labeled “Festival Vibes” and is expected to feature drag acts, DJs and plenty of special guests, as well as fairground rides to entertain younger visitors. Food stalls and bars will also be in the park, with organizers pointing out that bar issues have been ironed out after Crawley Pride 2021.
Sunday will be a more family day to attract a younger audience. It was also promised to be the day that will “celebrate the local community”. Musical artists will be present, as well as local artists and a selection of special guests. Food, drink and fairground rides will also still be present.
A number of special guests have already been registered for the event. Kitty Scott-Claus of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame has been signed to appear on Saturday and is sure to draw a stellar crowd.
The ever-popular Aunty Ginger has also been cast for both days of Pride. Described as “everyone’s favorite camp aunt”, Ginger will headline the festival.
Described as a “Gay Elvis”, Elberace will appear on Sundays to perform cabaret and other thrilling performances. Known for his energetic performances, James Haslam’s Elvis tribute is not to be missed.
A pre-Pride party is also planned for the over-18s on the Friday before the event, while Bar 7, the heart of the LGBTQ+ community in Crawley, will be tasked with looking after VIPs throughout the weekend. -end. Event organizers are always looking for local drag artists to perform at Crawley Pride, with volunteers and other acts also welcome.
Many tickets are still available and range from £15 per day for a child/concession to £30 for the VIP ticket. Tickets for both days will cost £25 for concession, £35 for adults and £50 for VIP.
