Danbury Police seek information after man was shot dead on Rowan Street

Local police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in the aftermath of a shootout in Danbury, leaving a man in his 20s with gunshot wounds.

According to the Danbury City Police DepartmentEarly last night on Tuesday 28 December 2021 at 7:30 p.m. Danbury Police officers were dispatched to the 67 Rowan Street area following reports of gunfire.

Response officers found a man in his 20s on the ground with gunshot wounds. After treating the victim on the spot, first responders transported the victim to Danbury Hospital for further treatment. Although the bullet victim has not yet been publicly identified at the time of writing, police report that he is currently in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing and we will be sure to update this article as new information becomes available.
