Dean Conner: police re-launch call for new information

THE family of a man last seen in Musselburgh over a week ago are asking for information on his fate.

Dean Conner, 37, was last seen in the Links Avenue neighborhood in Musselburgh at 5 p.m. on December 31, walking towards the town’s promenade district.

Dean’s family said: “It has been over a week since Dean was last seen and we are worried sick.

“We are desperate to know where he is and that he is safe.

“Dean, if you see this give us a call or contact someone to let them know you’re safe.”

“We are extremely grateful for all the work that has been done so far by the police and we would like to thank family, friends and the local community for the support and help they have provided us until present during what has been very upsetting time.

“We urge anyone who may have seen Dean, or who has any information that could help locate him to contact the police as soon as possible.”

The man is described as white, five feet 10 inches tall with short dark brown / black hair.

CCTV footage of Dean shows that shortly before his disappearance he was wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and white sneakers.

Chief Inspector Jocelyn O’Connor said: “It has been over a week since Dean was last seen or heard from and over time we and his family have become increasingly concerned about his safety and well-being.

“The agents carried out a thorough search and investigation in an attempt to locate Dean.

“This search is continuing with the continued assistance of a number of specialized law enforcement resources, including search officers and the diving and marine unit.

Officers also conducted door-to-door investigations and verified local and private CCTV footage.

“We think Dean will probably still be in or around Musselburgh.

“I urge anyone who has seen Dean since Friday, December 31, or who has information that may be relevant to our investigation, to contact me as soon as possible.

“Dean, if you’re reading this call, please phone your family, friends or the police.” ”

Any information can be provided to the police through 101, citing incident number 2238 of December 31, 2021.
