SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 4/27/2022, Vermont State Police received a report of an ATV matching the description of the stolen ATV from Leclair Lane in the town of Barton to an address on Haven Street in the town of East Haven. Through further investigation, probable cause was developed to believe that Damyon Norway was in possession of the stolen ATV. On 4/29/2022, a search warrant for the stolen ATV was requested and soon after granted by an honorable judge. Shortly after, soldiers arrived at the Haven Street residence and met the owner. The owner gave consent for the soldiers to search the property for the stolen ATV.

The ATV was located shortly thereafter and was eventually returned to its owner. Norway later met with soldiers about the incident and was later taken into custody for possession of stolen property. While processing Norway at Vermont State Police – Derby Barracks, probable cause was developed to believe that Norway had entered the ATV owner’s residence, while occupied, to steal the MTB. Norway was prosecuted for the offense listed above and released with a summons to appear in Orleans County Court – CRIMINAL CHAMBER.

On the date and time listed above, troopers from the Vermont State Police – Derby Barracks were notified of the theft of an ATV from an address on Laclair Lane in the town of Barton. Investigation revealed that the stolen ATV was yellow, 2015, Can-Am Outlander 500. The owner of the ATV, Leach, advised that the vehicle was stolen from her garage in the early morning hours of 4/25. /2022.
